Chris Starck This album was my first foray out of the mainstream with music. It led me to so many beautiful sounds, but somehow, it has never stopped being one of the most amazing albums that I have heard. Favorite track: The Crook Of My Good Arm.

The maturation and development of this band is obvious and unmistakable; the members of Pale Young Gentlemen clearly have a vision for themselves. The most striking sign of this growth is the departure from really good 'pop-rock' to a new type of music that is magnificently orchestrated but still sounds contemporary, the prime example being 'Marvelous Design.'
